Summary Academic Interest
My academic journey consists of trying to make sense of –and write about– the ways in which the ecological practices of monopoly capital are embodied by communities across rural geographies. My PhD dissertation will document and examine perceptions of environmental risks in a small, farm-worker community in northern California. (Environmental Health Geography, Community-Based Participatory Research, Environmental Justice, Risk and Risk Perception.)
