Summary of academic interest

In my dissertation research, I am analyzing the historical ecology and restoration of Putah Creek in order to understand the pre- and post-dam dynamics of regulated semi-arid river systems and to create models of and for riparian restoration design. I am using historical topographic, hydrologic, and aerial photographic data, and am collecting field data using UAV (drone) and GPS surveys. General topics of interest: physical geography, ecological restoration, restoration ecology, landscape ecology, GIS, cartography
